Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you might want to know, right here.
How does the credit billing work?
1 credit transcribes 1 minute of audio. Credits are verified before processing and charged based on the actual duration once recognition is complete. Partial minutes are rounded up to the next full minute.
Do my credits expire?
Yes. All purchased credits or top-up quotas are valid for exactly one (1) year (365 days) from the date of purchase. Unused credits upon expiration will be forfeited and will not roll over.
Is my video file uploaded to a server?
No. Your video stays entirely within your local browser. We only extract and secure a tiny audio track to stream for AI transcription, guaranteeing your data privacy and delivering blazing-fast processing speeds.
How fast is the subtitle generation process?
Extremely fast. Since the audio track is extracted locally within your browser and transcribed via high-performance cloud AI, your production-ready subtitles are usually ready within seconds.
Why did my video disappear after I refreshed the page?
To ensure absolute privacy, your video file is only temporarily loaded within the active browser session and is cleared upon refresh. You can simply re-select your video; your past generated subtitles are securely saved and accessible in your history panel.
Does "1 credit = 1 minute" include the 206-language translation?
Yes! 1 credit fully covers both the initial audio transcription and the subsequent translation into any of our 206 supported target languages. There are absolutely no hidden fees or extra charges for translations.
Are there any recurring monthly subscription fees?
No. Fastsub is entirely top-up based. You purchase only the credits you need, with no monthly recurring subscription contracts, meaning you can stop or change plans with total flexibility.
What happens if my browser crashes during local video burn-in?
Don't worry. Your subtitle progress is automatically saved in your history records. Because video rendering is executed locally on your device, you can simply reload the page, re-select the video, and restart the burn-in without losing or re-consuming your credits.
